SIERRA VISTA - The City of Douglas has generously donated use of a refrigerated truck to the firefighters on the front lines of the Monument Fire.

Thanks to donations from Douglas residents and City of Douglas employees, the truck was also stocked with water, Gatorade, snacks, t-shirts, and socks for firefighters and shelters in need, city officials say.

According to incident officials, a "rehab center" has been established for off-duty firefighters to relax and refresh between shifts, donations made by Douglas residents and employees are going to this center.

Donations can still be made to any Douglas Fire Department station, and the Douglas firefighters will deliver them to Sierra Vista as they come in, city officials say.
