TUCSON- This year the Salvation Army says it is short 500 turkeys to feed families in need of a Thanksgiving dinner.
If you would like to help your community and show support you can donate a frozen turkey or other donations and receive a free appetizer from El Charro Café (311 N Court Avenue). This event is being held today, Tuesday November 20, 2012 from 3pm - 7pm.
If you can't attend and would like to make a donation, please contact Premier One Realty to schedule a pick up at (520) 408-1885.
News 4 Tucson's Kristi Tedesco will also be broadcasting live tomorrow outside the Tucson Fire station at River Rd. and 1st Ave. from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. She'll have a refrigerated truck on site to take your donations of packaged perishable food for the Community Food Bank. Food bank representatives say they are also in dire need of canned vegetables, so stop by to drop some off and say "hi" to Kristi tomorrow!
