SIERRA VISTA - A quiet neighborhood in Sierra Vista is stunned by a disturbing murder involving an elderly couple and a teenager.
Police said early Sunday morning 17 year old Theodore Ramos, who also goes by Teddy, went to the home of a 76 year old man and killed him with a knife.
Detectives said he then proceeded to sexually assault the man's wife multiple times. When police got to the scene they said they found Ramos naked and holding a bloody knife.
Court documents we obtained give even more details. We want to warn you the information is graphic and sexual in nature. It might not be suitable for everyone.
Documents show that Ramos slit the throat of the victim as soon as he opened the door. Shortly after the suspect was arrested he gave a reason.
Documents said, "Ramos made comments to officers on scene saying he had killed the man because he had made fun of him when he was younger."
But perhaps more disturbing than the murder is what happened next. Ramos allegedly turned his attention to the victim's elderly wife forcing her to get naked. It went on to say he sexually assaulted her multiple times but still wasn't done.
He later, "... forced her to call a friend to come over to the house to have sex with him."
That friend called police instead, bringing an end to this nightmare.
The incident has both the neighborhood and even the suspect's close friends shocked.
Jason Johnson is a childhood friend of the suspect. He said, "I never thought he would do something like that. That's ridiculous"
Mike Cartwright lives next to the victim. He said, "I'm absolutely shocked. We've been here 11 years and nothing like this ever happens here in this neighborhood."
Phillip Carroll is another neighbor to the victim. "I just can't really fathom why or how this would happen."
The suspect remains in jail charged with first degree murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and 10 counts of sexual assault.
