Desert Museum to debut interactive smartphone app this month

TUCSON - Today on News 4 Tucson at 4 p.m., Gina Compitello from the Desert Museum previewed a new mobile app that lets you use your smart phone to experience the museum like never before!
Here's what she had to say:

"The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is excited to announce its Geotrexpedition- debuting Monday, November 19th! This GPS-based mobile app from MyGeoTrex allows you to access content on your mobile device while visiting the Museum. As you stroll the grounds, exhibits that are close by will pop up on the screen of your device. Simply click on the picture to learn more about the exhibit. It's easy to use, and best of all, free!

"To use MyGeoTrex, first download the app from the Apple App Store. Once you've loaded the app, find the Desert Museum Trex in the 'Museums, Aquariums and Zoos' category. You can then download the Trex by clicking on the small downward pointing arrow. It is recommended that you download the app before your visit to the Museum. If you do not download the app prior to your arrival, you can also access the Trex app via your device's data capabilities and the Museum's WiFi."
