Deputies search for Walmart robbery suspects

TUCSON - Deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Department are on the hunt for a man who robbed a WalMart Neighborhood Market at gunpoint Wednesday night. The armed robbery happened at the store located on Valencia Road near Cardinal Avenue shortly after 9:30 p.m.

Detective Ryan O'Connor said the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, "the suspect pointed the gun at people, many of them directly and also waived it across a whole crowd."

Surveillance video shows the man pointing the gun at the cashier's head. Detective O'Connor said the suspect was dressed in dark clothing and covered his face. According to O'Connor the suspect told people in the store, "don't look at me."

Investigators say the suspect may have been involved in similar incidents in Pima County.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, Native American or African American, and approximately 5'6''.

Detective O'Connor said anyone with information should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
