TUCSON-Master Sergeant Chris Campbell, who was deployed to southwest Asia for six months, is home for the holidays.
The Campbell family is getting ready for the holidays with their loved one back at home.
They weren't expecting him until after Christmas, so they said they were very surprised when he walked up to them at the U of A basketball game Thursday.
The Campbell family had no idea that when they walked on the basketball court they would get this surprise.
"When my dad came out I was thinking this is just a dream," said his daughter Amelia. "This is just a dream."
"When they brought dad out that was incredible. I had no idea that was going to happen. It was crazy," said his son Alexander.
John Sauer, a man who heard Campbell's story, decided to donate a Christmas tree to the family a kind gesture from someone who said he's a fan of the vets and just wanted to help make their Christmas a special one.
