PEORIA - A man and woman wanted on felony warrants in Apache County for alleged child abuse have been arrested in Peoria.
Peoria police say 51-year-old William John Knapman and 21-year-old Diana Rosemary Dieter were taken into custody Wednesday in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant.
Officers responded to a check welfare call regarding a couple with an allegedly unhealthy baby in the truck's camper.
Paramedics were called and the 3-month-old boy was taken to a hospital. Police say Knapman and Dieter were only booked on the outstanding warrants.
The warrants stem from a 2011 case in which the couple is accused of abusing their other son, who's now 2-and-a-half years old.
That boy currently is in state Child Protective Services' custody. The couple lost their parental rights last June.
