TUCSON - The 7-year-old Sulcata Tortoise named Tiger that needed a life saving surgery, received donations to cover the cost of her procedure after being featured on News 4 Tucson and KVOA.com.
According to a worker from the Tucson Reptile Rescue, thanks to donations the costs have been covered and Tiger can now have her surgery.
Tiger has been suffering from an aggressive tumor on the back of her leg, it had been removed but now it is back and her leg needs to be amputated.
She is going into surgery on June 30 and without surgery rescuers said they would have had to euthanize her.
Though her surgery is covered, they are still raising money for her recovery at this link here.
