TUCSON - Six of the seven Pima County Corrections Officers arrested in connection to a fight outside a university area bar in mid-September appeared in Superior Court Wednesday.
Police say some of the officers got into a brawl outside The Buffet Bar on September 19. Five of them were fired.
Their arraignment before Judge Roger Duncan was in a packed courtroom at the Pima County Superior Court.
Anthony Bonfiglio, Matthew Garcia, John Hyatt, Angel Castaneda and Steven Hagland are all charged with aggravated assault.
Two others, Mark Bret and Yvonne Davis, are facing charges of hindering prosecution.
Yvonne Davis was not in court today. Her arraignment is set for Thursday afternoon.
Case management conferences for all those accused in this case have been scheduled for November 19, where a plea deal could be made.
