TUCSON - Gusty winds returned today with coolers temperatures on the way this week.
Gusty winds and low relative humidity have combined for high fire danger with a Red Flag Warning in effect for Southern Arizona through this evening.
Wind gusts have peaked in Graham, Greenlee and Cochise County in the 30-40mph range today but will taper off into this evening.
A Pacific cold front will enter the state by midweek keeping the afternoon breezes around Tuesday through Thursday. The front will bring a noticeable drop in temperatures by Wednesday with highs struggling to reach the low 70s.
This system will tap into enough moisture for a slight chance of showers mainly north of Tucson late Wednesday night and into the early morning hours on Thursday. Check out your True View 4 extended forecast here.
