TUCSON - Abnormally cool day in store, but the winds & thermometer are set to make a dramatic rise.
Forecast highs this afternoon run nearly 10° below average, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Expect less dust and wind today under sunny skies.
A slow-moving storm system drops down the Rockies the next few days, creating gusty winds as early as Tuesday. Strongest winds may occur by daybreak Wednesday & Thursday, with easterly gusts up to 30 MPH.
High pressure slides over the state this weekend, rising temperatures to triple digits. Tucson's forecast high of 100° Saturday would mark the first triple digit day of the year.
