TUCSON - A construction crew hit an underground gas line during the Orange Grove widening project this morning.
Northwest Fire crews were called to the area of Shannon and Orange Grove Roads just before 9:30 this morning. Initially crews were told that a four inch gas line had been struck. Southwest Gas emergency crews arrived on scene and were able to determine that the line break was from a one inch line and not the larger line previously reported.
There were no injuries or evacuations during the leak. Orange Grove Road between Shannon and Mona Lisa was closed for about one hour.
