Avenida del Sol between State Route 90 and Camino del Norte
As part of the City's annual street maintenance project, a portion of Avenida del Sol between State Route 90 and Camino del Norte will be closed for approximately 2 weeks starting on Monday, June 18. This road improvement will involve the complete removal and replacement of the existing pavement on Avenida del Sol.
Any "through" traffic on Avenida del Sol will be directed to use State Route 92 as an alternate route. Local traffic from the Mesa Verde and Desert Shadows subdivisions will be directed to use Colonia De Salud as an alternate route.
The complete closure of Avenida del Sol should only last 2 weeks; however, material availability and weather conditions can impact the duration of this project and can cause the road closure to be extended.
Please remember the speed limit pertaining to detours through residential neighborhoods is 25 miles per hour. Remember to be especially cautious as children may be playing in neighborhoods during the summer months.

NORTH CAMPBELL AVENUE REPAVING PROJECT AND BIKE LANE PROJECT
On Monday, June 4, 2012, between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., the Pima County Department of Transportation along with its contractor, Southern Arizona Paving, will be performing a milling and asphalt paving treatment on Campbell Avenue from River Road to Skyline/Sunrise Drive.
This project will also reduce the four-lane section of North Campbell Avenue that begins south of Camino La Brinca and extends north to Avenida de Posada. The existing four-lane section on North Campbell Avenue will be reduced to a new two-lane section (one-lane in each direction) and bike lanes on each side to improve safety for roadway users. The new pavement will replace deteriorating pavement with a new asphalt surface and new striping for continuous bike lanes along this segment.
On Monday, June 4, 2012, the contractor will be starting preliminary work and begin the milling and paving on Thursday, June 7, 2012. Work is expected to be completed by the end of June 2012.
Traffic will be detoured onto a milled surface shoulder and flag personnel/pilot cars will direct traffic through the work zone area.
