Complete list of 2011 gem shows open to the public

TUCSON - The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show kicks off this weekend - the "show" actually consists of dozens of wholesale and retail showcases, some of which aren't open to the public.

-The 22nd Street Show

This show starts today, and features free on-site parking, and they experience an average of over 1,000 customers every day. This show is located directly off Interstate 10 at 22nd Street, about ½ mile from Downtown.

-The Pueblo Gem and Mineral Show at Riverpark Inn

This show kicks off Saturday at the Riverpark Inn, 350 S Freeway Rd, near Congress and Interstate 10. The show features hundreds of exhibitors and a private showcase for premium dealers.

This show claims to be the biggest gem and mineral show in the world, and presents only retails dealers to the public. This show runs for 3 days only - February 10 - 13, at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Street

-Best Bead Show 2011

-Globe-X Gem & Mineral Show at the Days Inn/Convention Center

Starts tomorrow at the Days Inn, 222 S. Freeway, near the I-10/Congress exit. Features wholesale sellers and is open to the public.

-Howard Johnson Gem and Mineral Show

On Sunday, Dr. Federico Pezzotta, Curator of Mineralogy at the Museum of Natural History in Milan, Italy will present "Demantoid and Tourmaline, Mineral Adventures from Madagascar". Social Hour at 6:30pm, presentation at 7:30pm.
