TUCSON- Golden Eagle Distributors, Inc., along with Trillium CNG have announced the grand opening today of a public access compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel station.
This fuel station is located on the Golden Eagle property, 705 E Ajo Way Tucson, and the grand opening will be held on Tuesday Sep. 18 at 4:00pm. This location will fuel Golden Eagle's fleet of 23 CNG trucks and will be available to other commercial fleets and the public.
The CEO and president of Golden Eagle distributors will be at the ribbon-cutting, in addition to Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and Michael Varney, CEO of the Tucson Metro Chamber of Commerce.
This new natural gas is one of the cleanest types of fuel available to heavy-duty trucks, company representatives stated in a news release. Christopher Clements, CEO of Golden Eagle Distributors, Inc. said, "We've made the commitment to use CNG in our local operations because it is a clean and cost-efficient fuel. By opening a public CNG fuel station on our property, we are able serve the needs of our fleet and provide much needed CNG infrastructure for our community."
