Girl, 3, found wandering the street, brother, 1, left home alone

DOUGLAS, AZ - The Cochise County Sheriff's Department is investigating 2 children who were apparently left home alone in Douglas.
On Tuesday evening around 6:15 pm, a three-year-old girl was found wandering the street wearing a diaper. When they went to the girl's home on East 21st Street, they found her 1 year old brother home alone.
News 4 has learned the kids' mother was arrested yesterday by immigration officers for drug possession.
According to the Cochise County Sheriff's Department, the home was in poor condition and there was no food or utilities.
Both children were transported to the South Eastern Arizona Medical Center for evaluation and then released to Child Protective Services.
