NOGALES- Volunteers and city employees teamed up to clean damage to a Nogales neighborhood.
A massive storm rolled in early Sunday morning. Arturo Garino, the mayor of Nogales, described it as hurricane-like winds, whipping at close to 60 miles per hour.
The storm caused worse condition south of the border before it hit Nogales. The washes swelled up, which caused a tide of water to push through the fence from Mexico. It wrestled down 60 feet of the border wall.
The water rushed into a Nogales neighborhood, which caused flooding in several houses and flushed cars down the streets.
The Red Cross has assisted 10 people affected by the damage.
