TUCSON - "The imposition of ashes," a centuries old tradition practiced by Catholics and Episcopalians on Ash Wednesday, has come to the streets.
What normally required a trip to a church, is now being delivered to the faithful at places like Starbucks, bus stops and college campuses.
St. Phillips in the Hills Epsicopal Parish is offering "Ashes to Go" Wednesday as a way to bring religion to those who wouldn't normally take the time to stop by at a church.
