Cholla High School monitor arrested for sending explicit image to a student

Tucson police have arrested a school monitor at Cholla High School after a student received a sexually explicit image on her cell phone from the monitor. Police say 26-year-old Sheridan Gomez sent the student a photo of his genitalia.

Police say the student and Gomez became friends and one night, the student received unwanted text messages from Gomez. The last message included the obscene image.

School officials learned of the incident and notified authorities.

Gomez was arrested at school on Tuesday evening. He was booked into the Pima Co. Jail and charged with one count of Furnishing Harmful Items to Minors.
