Chilly Veteran's Day forecast

TUCSON - Temperatures drop from the 90s to the 60s and even cooler by Sunday.

Daytime highs were barely able to crack up into the 60s today for Tucson, topping 61 this afternoon, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. These temperatures that haven't been seen since mid-April are here to stay at least for the next couple of days. Your Veteran's Day forecast looks nice and cool with generally skies and a high near 58 for Tucson.

A Freeze Warning is in place for areas south and east of Tucson from 1am to 8am tomorrow morning. A Hard Freeze Warning is in place come Sunday night into Monday as some locations could dip below 28. Take the proper precautions to protect your frost sensitive plants and any outdoor pipes.

A warming trend takes off to start the work week as a weak area of high pressure builds into the region. The upper 60s return by Monday and temperatures continue to climb back into the mid 70s by midweek, which is average for this time of year. Mostly sunny to sunny skies with light winds should prevail through the first half of this week.
