TUCSON - A mom and six children have to stay somewhere else after their house went up in flames Saturday night.

The fire broke out on West Alto Place around 7:15 p.m. near West Speedway and I-10.

Investigators say the fire started in a back bedroom, when a child was playing with a lighter.

The mom and six kids, 7-years-old and younger, all got out of the house safely.

The fire caused about $35,000 in damage.
