TUCSON - Century Link representatives say that they have found the break in the fiber line which has caused a phone service outage for parts of Southern Arizona, and they expect repairs to be complete by 6 p.m.
At about 10 a.m. this morning, the Century Link fiber line was cut in a spot outside of Benson, company officials confirmed to News 4 Tucson. This affected customers in Graham, Cochise and Santa Cruz counties.
Phone service has been restored for these areas, but customers may experience busy signals. If this happens, try the call again, company officials say.
Century Link was still unable to confirm how many customers were affected by the outage, but expect service to be fully restored by 6 p.m. today.
