CBP: Border agent shoots, kills person near Sasabe, Ariz. Sunday

TUCSON - Customs and Border Protection officials confirm that there was a deadly agent-involved shooting near Sasabe, Arizona Sunday.
CBP officials released the following statement:
""At 12:25 p.m. MST Sunday, a Border Patrol agent on patrol approximately 12 miles northwest of the Sasabe, Ariz., port of entry encountered an unknown number of individuals who had crossed the border illegally. During the encounter, the agent discharged his service issued weapon, resulting in the death of one of the individuals. Agents apprehended six other individuals. CBP is fully cooperating with tribal and FBI investigators."
