TUCSON - Authorities say someone out there is preying on children.
That's why Tucson Police and the Pima County Sheriff's Department are comparing notes about a recent abduction.
The first one occurred last month in the county. The latest incident happened Friday near Seneca and Country Club.
Officials say a 15-year old girl was walking home, from Catalina High School.
A man, reportedly, hit her from behind, and pulled her into his truck. She caused a ruckus; the attacker pushed her out of the vehicle.
Today, at Catalina high school, the principal handed out letters to all 1300 students to give to their parents. The letter details what happened to a fellow student.
Principal Rex Scott says, "It's a parent's worst nightmare it's certainly an educator's worst nightmare."
He says the teenager who fought off her attacker is safe, a little shaken, and bruised from the ordeal.
The letter contains crucial information that police gave them about the attempted abduction.
Plus there's a composite of the man who investigators say was responsible for the attack.
"As a high school principal and a father of two my self you try to imagine yourself in the position of these parents and it's just terrifying."
Tucson Police say the girl did all the right things, she fought back, she screamed, she tried to honk the horn anything to bring attention to the situation.
14 days ago the Pima County Sheriff's Department had a similar case. They're now working with Tucson Police to see if the cases could be related.
Sheriff's Detective Miguel Flores says, "In looking at it from a law enforcement point of view we're looking at two abduction attempts, and what we're concerned about is the next one might not be an attempt it might be successful."
The agencies are comparing notes and putting their resources into finding out that is preying on young girls and finding him before he finds another victim. The suspect from last Friday is described as a white male, in 30's or 40's. Taller than 5'5" thin build with shorter dirty blonde hair.
He has a tan complexion with facial hair on his cheeks, also dirty blonde.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white, newer model ford pick-up truck, 2 door, grey bench seat, no tint on the windows, and it has a gps or radar dector attached to the front windshield.
