TUCSON - Casa de los Niños is in "dire" need of new summer clothes for children staying in their crisis shelter, the organization said in a news release.
The shelter has 48 beds for children ranging from birth to 12-years-old, the release stated.
The agency said it is fortunate to receive many donations of new clothing over the holidays, but those generally consist of jackets, sweat shirts and long pants, the release added. Clothing donations tend to slow down in the spring and summer.
Clothing needs include summer clothing, size 0 to 18, such as t-shirts, shorts, light pants, and school uniforms including (navy and burgundy collared shirts & tan pants/shorts, size 7-12), according to the release.
Donations can be dropped off at the Casa de los Niños Administration Offices, located at 1101 N 4th Ave., Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
