SIERRA VISTA, AZ (September 19, 2011) - The Coronado National Forest, Sierra Vista Ranger District, will continue the closure of Carr Canyon and Forest Road 368 from the bridge crossing to the end of the published road near Ramsey Vista Campground. During this time both Ramsey Vista and Reef Townsite campgrounds will remain closed. The lower picnic area and adjacent parking area will be open to visitors.

The purpose of the closure is to provide for public safety in Carr Canyon, Ramsey Vista Campground, and Reef Townsite Campground from increased water flow (resulting from the Monument Fire) during monsoon season. The order will remain in effect until April 15, 2012 or until rescinded, whichever occurs first.
