TUCSON - An SUV crashed into a wall Sunday night and killed the driver and injured the two passengers, Pima County Sheriff's Deputies said.
At about 6:50 p.m., deputies responded to the crash near Skyline and Campbell.
Jonathan Castaneda, 26, was going too fast when he he failed to control his turn through a roundabout, Deputy Tom Peine said. None of the three were wearing seatbelts.
Deputies suspect alchohol and drugs played a factor in the crash. A search of the SUV uncovered marijuana and mushrooms packaged for sale, Peine said. A loaded shotgun was also found.
One of the survivors remains in critical condition. The other is stable.
