TUCSON - Today on News 4 Tucson at 4 p.m., Dr. Linda Arzoumanian Dr. Tracy Benson stopped by to talk about Camp Snowball, a special event happening at the JW Marriott Starr Pass in Tucson from July 9 to 13.
Business leaders, educators and students from across the country will gather to share and develop ideas about bridging business and education to meet the ever-changing needs of today's society.
The program includes:
• A panel conversation with Peter Senge, author of the Fifth Discipline: The Art and Practice of the Learning Organization; Marv Adams, COO, TDAmeritrade; Darcy Winslow, former Global General Manager/VP Women's Footware, Apparel, and Equipment, Nike; Lani Simmons, Director of Human Resources for the City of Tucson; and Stephen Ochoa, Co-founder, Frost Gelato.
• A chance to visit the Project Marketplace-to see the breadth and depth of what is happening in our school systems across the country and around the world as we showcase the projects and accomplishments that are enabling our students to develop the skills they will need for the 21st century.
The discussion will address such questions as: Why does the type of education our students receive matter to your organization? How can you foster the development of applied and critical thinking skills as a business or community leader? How can schools become centers of innovation?
