Calming winds, warming temps

TUCSON - Winds slowly calm down tonight with temperatures warming back up tomorrow.

Tucson International Airport recorded a peak wind gust of 35mph and a top temperature of 73° Sunday. Winds will continue to relax through the evening hours staying on the lighter side between 5-15mph into Monday.

The upper level low that brought the winds today will bring one of the coolest nights in a couple of weeks, especially east of the Metro. Places like Douglas and Willcox will wake up near the freezing mark Monday morning while Tucson bottoms out in the mid to upper 40s.

Highs rebound quick tomorrow afternoon with Tucson heating up to the upper 70s. A few disturbances will move through to our north this week keeping temperatures about 5-7° above average with some afternoon breezes back by midweek.
