CAMPO, Calif. (AP) - An Amber Alert is in effect for the two missing children of a woman whose body was found inside a burned rural house near the U.S.-Mexico border, southeast of San Diego.
The San Diego County Sheriff's department said the man suspected of killing the woman may have abducted the kids.
Authorities are trying to locate 16-year-old Hannah Anderson and 8-year-old Ethan Anderson. Their mother, 44-year-old Christina Anderson, and an unidentified child were found dead in the home in Boulevard Sunday night.
The Sheriff's Department said the suspect, 40-year-old James Lee DiMaggio, owned the home and lived there alone. They said DiMaggio was in a "close platonic relationship" with Anderson.
The Amber Alert said DiMaggio is believed to be driving a blue Nissan Versa with California license plates.
