The following is a release from the Pima County Sheriff's Department:
On December 24, 2012, at approximately 1:45 pm, Pima County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a residential burglary near the 2600 block of West Kimberly.
The victim reported that as he returned to his residence, he observed a suspicious male wearing a hoody, walking down the street and carrying bags. He recognized the bags as his property and followed the suspect to a nearby residential area and reported the activity to the Sheriff's Department.
Upon further investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 24 year old Michael Allen Frances. A search warrant was served at the suspect's residence.
The victim's stolen items to include electronics, jewelry and other items were recovered and returned to the victim.
Additionally, stolen property related to a second burglary, which was reported within hours of
the initial burglary incident, was also recovered and returned to the reporting victim.
Francis was taken into custody and charged with 1st Degree Burglary. The investigation is still
