COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio State coach Urban Meyer and his staff have mixed emotions about the Buckeyes right now.
Meyer assessed his offense as playing one of its best games in a while. Carlos Hyde, Braxton Miller, Corey Brown and the line were outstanding, particularly in the second half when the fourth-ranked Buckeyes came back to beat Iowa 34-24.
At the same time, the Buckeyes are troubled by a lethargic start and by how their defense got pushed around.
So as Ohio State (7-0, 3-0 Big Ten) prepares for Saturday night's game against Penn State (4-2, 1-1), Meyer is trying to embrace and encourage an offense that has been nearly unstoppable while patching up and picking up a defense that is getting gashed for 26 points a game in conference play.
