Brown Fire 25% contained

SIERRA VISTA - The Brown Fire burning southwest of Sierra Vista is reported as 25% contained as of Thursday night.

The containment lines are along the southern part of the fire. Crews will continue work Friday for full containment and to douse hot spots.

The fire sparked Sunday in the upper elevations of Scheelite Canyon, below Ramsey Peak, and has burned 240 acres.

The Cochise County Sheriff's department is warning area residents that they may see more smoke from the fire Thursday night. The smoke is from unburned fuel inside the fire line.
