TUCSON - A UA football player was arrested on Monday on four felony counts of drug dealing and having a weapon, Tucson Police said.
Patrick Onwuasor, 20, a sophomore safety for Arizona, was served a search warrant at his apartment in the 800 block of East Wetmore, Tucson Police Sgt. Maria Hawke said in a release.
The search warrant was obtained through a separate investigation into a home invasion in Beverly Hills, Calif., Hawke said.
Detectives contacted Tucson Police in regards to the evidence they found, which lead them to Onwuasor's home, the release detailed.
Officers found narcotic drugs, narcotic paraphernalia, marijuana and a weapon during the search, Hawke said.
Onwuasor's arrest warrant was issued July 18. Onwuasor presented himself for arraignment on July 22 and released after, Hawke said.
Hawke said that Onwuasor was not implicated as being present during the Beverly Hills home invasion.
