Pedestrian hit in midtown in stable condition

UPDATE - 4:48 - TUCSON - Tucson police say a 50-year-old woman is in stable condition tonight after being hit by a car Friday morning in midtown.

The accident happened on Stone, just north of Glenn.

Police say the woman was not in a crosswalk when she was hit and that she had an alcohol level four times the legal limit.

Police say no citations have been issued against the driver.

TUCSON - Northbound Stone Avenue is shut down at this hour because a pedestrian has been hit by a vehicle.

Tucson Police say the person was walking across Stone Ave. just north of Glenn St. According to police, the victim was not in a crosswalk. Officers tell News4, the victim jumped out of the way of one vehicle, but was hit by a second vehicle.

Police say the person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
