TUCSON - TPD continues to investigate a south side homicide. It happened near the corner of Chardonnary and Birchwood Drives.

Officers say Jose G. Armenta, 61, was found dead with a gunshot wound. A 47-year old man was injured, and is being treated at a hospital.

Still no word on a motive or possible suspects.

This is the 12th homicide in just 3 weeks. So far this year alone, there have been 38. Last year, there were 40 homicides.
