BREAKING NEWS: Rescue crews on scene of a fatal crash

TUCSON-A multi-vehicle accident in midtown this morning has resulted in one confirmed death.

Tucson Police say five vehicles were involved in the accident at Tucson Boulevard and Bilby Avenue. The male driver of a Dodge pickup truck was ejected and died at the scene.

Another driver was trapped in his overturned SUV, but was rescued and taken to the hospital in stable condition. All of the other injuries are minor.

A Sunnyside school bus was near the accident, but was not involved. There were two adults and two special needs students on board the bus. No one was injured on the school bus. The driver and an adult aide were witnesses to the accident and are being interviewed by TPD. The students were removed from the scene.

The intersection is closed in all directions and is expected to be closed at least through the lunch hour.

News 4 has a crew on the scene and will bring you more information as it becomes available.

I often read negative, hatefull comments and it always makes me wonder what these folks lives might be like to be in a perpetual angry at the world mode! No this individual is deceased, and I was always taught to never ever speak ill of the dead, it can bring one bad karma! Yes the person might have been talking on a cell phone, or tired from working two or three jobs, commuting to each to feed, house, clothe their family, one can speculate, but I tend to find no glee in anyones death as some seem to do! I think this tells more about them than this person who no longer is here on this old earth with all its woes and miseries!
