TUCSON - The 1,000th session of the U-S Border Patrol Academy begins with the swearing in of 48 men and women next week.

At this event, the soon-to-be new agents will meet Tucson Sector's Chief Patrol Agent Rick Barlow and be sworn in as federal agents. Five months from now, after graduation from the academy, these new agents will return to Tucson Sector to begin working at their respective duty.
