TUCSON - Border Patrol agents will be tossing the pigskin to help disadvantaged children from around Southern Arizona in the 19th Annual Pig Bowl Flag Football Tournament.
The Pig Bowl is annual day-long flag football tournament, generating toy donations for the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots charity, according to a news release from Customs and Border Protection. The Border Patrol Tucson Sector's Morale, Welfare and Recreation program will cost sixteen teams competing in a single-elimination tournament.
Agents will compete against each other, as well as other local and federal agencies, including the Marine Corps and the Tucson Police and Fire Departments.
The 19th Annual Pig Bowl will take place on December 10, beginning at 10 a.m., at Anamax Park, 17501 S. Camino De Las Quintas in Sahuarita, Arizona.
