Border Patrol arrests two suspected of smuggling cash

NOGALES - Border Patrol officers arrest two people they say tried to smuggle $242,700 in cash into Mexico through Mariposa Port.
Nogales CBP Officers stopped a Chrysler van Monday which was being driven by a 37-year-old Mexican man trying to leave the country. That's when they found $213,400 of unreported currency. The money was stashed in 12 packages hidden behind the van's air conditioning control panel.
A second suspect was caught Sunday, when a 24-year old Mexican woman driving a Nissan SUV was caught with $29,300 of unreported currency. The money was found in her gas tank.
