TUCSON - The Tucson Sector Border Patrol says its agents apprehended six sex offenders over the weekend that had illegally entered the United States from Mexico. The agency says five of the offenders were arrested for sex crimes against children.
According to the Border Patrol, Casa Grande Agents apprehended a man Friday who had been convicted of having sex with a minor. Agents assigned to the Ajo Station apprehended a male Saturday arrested for raping a child, assault, and child molestation. Tucson Station agents also apprehended an individual Saturday who had been arrested for sexual intercourse with a minor. The three subjects are being held for prosecution.
Douglas Station agents arrested three sex offenders: one convicted of sexual assault of a child; another charged for rape and sexual abuse; and the third arrested for lewd acts with a child. The subjects were held for further processing.
