LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities have recovered the body of a California man who apparently drowned in Lake Havasu this week.
Mohave County Sheriff's divers located the body of 62-year-old Antonio Juan-Ramos Lopez about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday some 500 yards east of Havasu Springs.
Lopez, of Temple City, was reported missing around 5:30 p.m. Monday north of Parker Dam.
Authorities say Lopez was on a boat with his wife and a family friend and he jumped into the lake to cool off near Havasu Springs.
They say high winds pushed the boat away from Lopez just as he was swimming toward it.
He wasn't wearing a lifejacket and went underwater and didn't resurface.
Authorities say an autopsy will be conducted, but alcohol use is not believed to be a factor in the death.
