TUCSON - Business owners across Tucson hope the holiday crowds coupled with the devoted fans that the UA-ASU rivalry game brings will help them cash in on the extra foot traffic.
O'Malley's on 4th Avenue is divided country.
"We have a pretty mixed house as far as this game goes," said Rick Cano, manager of O'Malley's.
While the guests at O'Malley's have strong views on the Duel in the Desert, the rivalry itself is a huge money-maker.
"We really look forward to having our rivalry game here in Tucson, it brings a lot of business to us," Cano said.
That's something that's been intensified by the holiday weekend as the bar hopes to bank on the business before, during and especially after the game.
"The pregame business is really great for us, we have a lot of people come in and have dinner, have some drinks before they head down to the game," Cano said.
Cano said they're especially looking forward to the thousands of fans that will take to the streets and shops of Tucson as the game comes to a close.
