TUCSON- Tucson Police say a man who barricaded himself inside a Midtown apartment Saturday morning has surrendered without further incident.
According to Sgt. Maria Hawke, TPD responded to a shots fired call around 4:15am near West Delano Street.
They found a man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
He was transported to the hospital.
According to the victim, he was driving down West Delano Street when he heard a loud bang and the back window of the truck was shattered.
Police located an armed person matching the suspect's description.
The alleged suspect ran into a nearby apartment.
SWAT and Crisis Negotiators were able to secure the release of the other people in the apartment and the surrender of the alleged suspect around 10:45am.
North Oracle Road will remain shutdown between Fort Lowell Road and Miracle Mile until the investigation is complete.
