TUCSON - The birth of a child is an adjustment for all new parents, but single mothers likely face the most challenges.
Our pregnancy contributor Judith Schuler stopped by the News 4 Tucson studios to talk about some the issues facing these moms and how a little prior planning can help ease the transition into motherhood.
Over 35 percent of all births are to unmarried women, Schuler said, which is why it's critically important to have some kind of a support network. Also, a will is critical before birth: choose a guardian, life insurance, and talk to attorney about legal rights and responsibilities of the baby's father and his family.
