TUCSON - The author who helped to co-write "Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope," along with the former congresswoman's husband, Mark Kelly, died today in a car wreck today. He was 53.
Jeffrey Zaslow, author of best-sellers such as "The Last Lecture," was killed Friday in a car accident in Northern Michigan, NBC affiliate WDIV confirmed to News 4 Tucson.
Zaslow was scheduled to attend the Tucson Festival of Books next month.
Police confirmed to a Detroit newspaper that Zaslow was killed this morning at about 9 a.m. when he lost control of his car and was hit by a semi-truck on a snow-covered road.
