TUCSON- A developing story now on a new audit released on Rio Nuevo.

The audit examined the possible misuse of funds for about 12 projects west of I-10.

The audit found there were significant gaps in the information provided by the city and the district.

It identified nearly $34-million dollars spent on projects that lacked adequate documentation.

The report also found the district spent money on projects that were not located within the boundaries of the district.
