TUCSON - A local woman managed to escape an attempted sexual assault at Reid Park earlier this week, according to Tucson Police.
It happened Tuesday evening at the Reid Park exercise path.
Police say the man approached her and commented on her appearance. She ignored him, but a short time later she was walking to her car and saw the man riding around on a BMX style bike.
As she passed by him to get to her car, he started making comments to her again. She tried to walk past him but he grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into drainage ditch along 22nd street.
She broke free once, was grabbed again, and manged to break free again and call 911. The woman suffered some scratches and minor injuries while breaking free the second time. She was not sexually assaulted .
The man is described as a white male in his 30's, 160-170 lbs, with red chin length hair and freckles.
