THAILAND (NBC) - An Arizona State University student is believed to have drowned in Thailand after going for a late night swim in the ocean.
21-year-old Joshua Shane, a junior at Arizona State, was on a study abroad trip in Thailand.
Shane and four other students went swimming Tuesday night off a beach on the island of Phuket.
Authorities were still searching the waters Wednesday for Shane.
The university issued a statement saying, "ASU is deeply saddened and we offer our condolences to family and friends of Joshua Shane."
Counseling services are being offered to students and faculty at the university.
