TUCSON - Astronaut Mark Kelly is scheduled to visit a Tucson elementary school Tuesday afternoon to return a school yearbook that he took on his last space shuttle flight.
The yearbook will be returned to Mesa Verde Elementary School, where Christina-Taylor Green was a student.
The 9-year-old girl was among six people killed Jan. 8 by a gunman as she waited to meet U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords at a Jan. 8 event outside a Tucson supermarket. Thirteen others were injured including Giffords, who is Kelly's wife.
Kelly took the Mesa Verde yearbook aboard the final mission of space shuttle Endeavor, which he commanded from May 16 to June 1. The yearbook contains a tribute to Christina from her classmates. It now will be on permanent display at the school.
